Our Aims and Objectives

The Congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate undertakes educational apostolate, based on the love of God and service to mankind as modelled in Jesus Christ, against the background of Indian heritage to produce intellectually competent, morally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired men and women of India. In pursuance of the above general objective of education, the College has been redefining its goals from time to time. Thus, today the College stands forth following goals.
 

  • To create a just and humane society where the dignity of the human person is respected, where unjust social structures are challenged, where our cultural heritage of Ahimsa, Religious Harmony and National Integration are upheld and where the poor and the marginalized are specially taken care of.
  • To form leaders who are intellectually competent, spiritually mature, morally upright, psychologically integrated, physically healthy and socially accepted, who will champion the cause of justice, love and peace
  • To promote scholarship and Communicative skills by involving the students in research-oriented projects and co-curricular activities.
  • To prepare the youth of the 21st century by promoting international brotherhood, environment consciousness, gender justice and the sense of humanity. 
     

For the accomplishment of the above goal, the College is putting in special efforts to enable the students to strive for excellence in every field, to seek and apply knowledge, to find solutions to various social problems, to value and use their freedom with responsibility, to be clear and firm on principles and values and to be selfless in rendering services, through a team of teachers who are active, dedicated, competent and humane in dealings.
